LOCH RYAN SEA ANGLING ASSOCIATION
Firstly I would like on behalf of L.S.A.A. to thank all those who have taken the time to sign the ?Save Our Rights To Fish Old House Point?, petition and the encouragement it gave us.
Having had numerous meetings with Stena over the last few weeks it has become obvious that it will not be possible for anglers to use Old House Point at all once the area is a functioning Port.
The reasons given for this are all security related and are imposed by Government as opposed to the Port operator who must abide by certain restrictions.
Stena have done as much as possible to accommodate us and were keen to solve this situation but in the end a compromise had to be reached where so much local employment depends on this development.
Stena have entered into an agreement with ourselves to help ensure we get continued access to the Leffnol area (our alternative match venue), which is also in jeopardy due to the upgrading of the A77.
After many hours spent in discussion we also have Stena`s permission to hold part of this years` two day Open on the 19th and 20th of September at O.H.P. which sadly will be the last competition ever held at this venue.
Because of these special circumstances Stena have agreed to sponsor this event, which we hope to make bigger and better than previous Opens.
Once again thank you for your support and maybe we will see you at the Open in September
