 Junior "Lochryan", member Shannon Dewar presenting a cheque for £170 to Sister Redmend of the Pallative care unit,Galloway Community Hospital Stranraer.
This was donatons from friends and family of Jock Boyd a much missed "Lochryan", member who sadly passsed away last year.
Anglers competing in this years species hunt donated part of the entry money and winners gave back their prize money to this good cause.
This year was the first time that the species hunt was organised as a fund raiser and hopefully next year will be much bigger.

Winter Pollock Fishing proves effective around the rock marks of South West Scotland.

Above is a fine specimin for local angler Bryan Mcnally, the fish fell to a large chunk of Mackerel fished tight on the bottom......The fish was returned after a quick photo.

 

Eddie the Welsh Wizard gets into the prizes in the Jock Boyd memorial and christmas match.

Below is two certificates acheived by LSAA anglers during the 2008 season.

 

13lbs + Bass caught on "Go West" Which is part of the "Onyer Marks" fleet.

This fish was returned to fight another day as part of the conservation policy adopted by the Onyer Marks team.
